What you name your business is important, especially if it’s a restaurant or bakery; it should be catchy, appropriate and memorable. Well, 100% appropriately named, we’d like to formally introduce you to Something Sweet in Titusville. Not only does it tell you what they offer, but once you stop in, it’s not likely you’ll forget them!

I had first heard about Johnnie and Something Sweet when I worked nearby (it can be both a good and a bad thing when you work so close to this place). She offers a free Facebook Friday treat for her Facebook fans, so coworkers and I would stop over to see what she had for the day – and yes, oftentimes purchasing additional items.

If you’ve snooped around on Rest o Rants and Raves before and read my Topper’s Creamery or The Sweet Spot in Cape Canaveral posts, you’ll know there isn’t anything under the sun dessert-wise, that I won’t try. Her motto is, “If you can dream it, we can bake it!” and boy, is that true. Every Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Johnnie and her small crew whip up some of the most delicious looking creations for local visitors with a giant sweet tooth. They make everything fresh, yes everything; you won’t find a store bought box of cake mix anywhere in sight. She mixes up her offerings from day to day and week to week, but my favorites so far have been her Holy Cow Cheesecake, Lemon Crumb Cupcakes and her Peach Cobbler.

The majority of her business comes from special orders like wedding and birthday cakes or pies, but the possibilities of what she can create are nearly endless. Whether for a big or small party, or just a quick treat for yourself, stop in soon to make your day a little more “sweet!”
