I can’t recall my first experience with Topper’s Creamery, but I know it was nothing short of amazing. It’s because of this that I’ve been back countless times to order my personal favorite – Birthday Cake Twist!
I’ve had birthday cake ice cream before – and it’s delicious (what ice cream isn’t), but this is something on a whole other level. Topper’s Creamery not only mixes rainbow sprinkles into each serving, but also dry cake mix! “Topped” off with a dollop of whipped cream and a few additional sprinkles, there are times where I can’t bring myself to try something new – and my friends are the exact same way!
Between a few of us, we’ve managed to try the following flavors: Birthday Cake Twist, Peanut Butter Twist, Candy Twist, Mint Chocolate Twist. Think about stopping by Topper’s in Merritt Island early into your trip to Brevard County – you may find it good enough to come back before you leave!
The idea behind Topper’s Creamery began back in 2002. With a lack of real tasting ice cream in the Orlando area, a group of friends with franchise experience got together and laid out plans to start up a place that would be known for its homemade-style soft serve – not the ice milk that so many places use today. You can order your treat in a cup loaded with ‘toppers’ or within one of their freshly made waffle cones.
I’ve made it a point to take my visiting friends and relatives over to Topper’s Creamery before they leave town. Since Topper’s is only currently in central Brevard County, I know it’s something they won’t get when they return home!
